The name
We have chosen, Health and Beauty Locator as it is straight to the point in what we are offering.
The purpose
The vision was that all the companies in the health and beauty sector would be on one site, not selling for them, not taking a commission, but directing the demand straight to the provider, who need it most for the sustainability of their provision.
I thought this was something people would appreciate both for seeing ‘what is available’ in your area or in an area you may visit on a break or holiday in the UK. Whilst, helping the businesses to get really cheap national advertising as small businesses don’t have the budgets of national businesses to market themselves on that scale.
The Story
The reason behind Health and Beauty Locator was first generated by my Fiancee having finished College doing NVQ beauty therapy level 2 and 3, going into the health and beauty industry, and struggling to find a Job in the local salons within a 20 mile radius.
She then started her own salon working from home and being mobile, while trying to gain her more business we thought about advertising on the internet, and thought there must be an established internet website advertising for health and beauty companies.
This was not the case, so i thought it would be a good idea to create a website for all health and beauty companies to advertise on, so that anybody trying to find a local need for health and beauty can find it very effieicently.
